エンジニアとして、カナダ国立研究所に勤務。その後来日し、テクノロジーと英語学習に興味を持つ。現在はウェヴブラーニングや学習動機について調査中で、近年では第二言語習得やその学習動機についての研究論文を執筆。
学生へのメッセージ
No matter how old you are, you can always learn new things. Set your goal, make a realistic plan, and start your journey. Mastery is loving the journey and enjoying the process. Arriving at the goal will come naturally.

日常生活でのさまざまなシチュエーションを想定し、英語母語話者が日常的に使うスピーチパターンを自然な速度で聞き取る能力を養う。スピーチパターンや場面に応じた会話を学ぶことにより、基礎的な受け答えができるような発話能力を伸ばす。 |

英語母語話者の生きた英語を聞くことにより、ナチュラルスピードで読み上げられた、さまざまなトピックの英語を理解する。 |
総合英語B（プレゼンテーション）

ビジネスの現場で即戦力となりうる人材が身につけるべき英語コミュニケーション・スキルの習得が、この科目の目的である。具体的には、さまざまなシーンを想定し、ニュース記事の読解やプレゼンテーションなどの実践的な課題を繰り返すことで、総合的な英語運用能力の向上をめざす。 |

さまざまな職業／国籍のビジネスパーソンへのインタヴューをとおして、複雑なビジネス・シーンで求められる英語運用能力を磨く。ビジネスの現場でよく用いられる表現を学習し、繰り返し練習することにより知識の定着をめざす。 |
